In less than 1 day since the PGR announced a reward of 30 million pesos for the most-wanted drug-dealers, yesterday the military forces of Mexico arrested “La Burra”, operator of the cartel of the Beltrán Leyva, in a car lot between the streets Río Grijalva and Río Mississippi in San Pedro. No shots, casualties or physically injured people were reported. Although, the reward won’t be given because according to military information, they had already confirmed the localization of the “capo” themselves, and they claimed it wasn’t because of an anonymous call.
I find it hard to believe that in less than a day the reward announcement was made, one of the most wanted drug-dealers was found. Is it really true that the SEDENA found him all by themselves in less than a day after the announcement (big coincidence, huh?), or is it just a cover so they don’t have to pay 30 million pesos to the one person who risked his life for denouncing “La Burra”? If so, how can the government expect for people to denounce criminals if they keep avoiding the reward promised? I’m personally disappointed, and if the situation is as bad as I think, I wouldn’t be very much surprised if saw him walking out in the streets free from all charges, considering obviously the level of impunity and corruption in the country.
